AQU Catalunya has signed specific collaboration agreements with the professional body of psychologists in Catalonia (Col·legi Oficial de Psicologia de Catalunya/COPC) and the professional body of occupational therapists (Col·legi de Terapeutes Ocupacionals de Catalunya/COTOC) to participate in QA procedures in the university system in Catalonia.

Extensions to the deadline for rulings on calls for applications involving academic staff21.09.2015
AQU's Research Assessment Commission has endorsed an extension to the deadline for a ruling on applications for the accreditation of research and the accreditation of advanced research, corresponding to the first call for applications in 2015, until 7 January 2016. The CLiC Commission, which deals with tenure-track and collaborating teaching staff, has endorsed an extension to the deadline for a ruling on applications for the issue of reports for tenure-track teaching staff corresponding to the extraordinary call for applications made in 2015, until 20 January 2016.

Collaboration agreement between AQU Catalunya and two professional bodies31.08.2015
A collaboration agreement was signed on 27 July between AQU Catalunya and the professional associations for architects and industrial engineers in Catalonia enabling qualified professionals to participate as external experts in the review, certification and accreditation of study programmes undertaken by the Agency and thereby contribute their expertise in the professional field.

Subsequent to the adoption of the revised version of the "Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area", commonly known as ESG, at the EHEA Ministerial Conference held in Yerevan (Armenia) the 14th and 15th of May, the text of the ESG has been translated into Catalan and is available here.

The discussion groups were held with employers and professionals from different sectors of economic activity in the months of June and July. A total of ten (10) discussion groups took place all together, in which more sixty (60) employers from different sectors took part.
Cooperation agreement between AQU Catalunya and ACPT 15.07.2015
A cooperation agreement between AQU Catalunya and the ACPT/Catalan Association of Tourism Professionals was signed on 13 July, whereby ACPT professionals will be able to participate as external experts and provide their professional expertise in the Agency’s quality assurance, certification and accreditation procedures involving study programmes in Tourism.

Within the framework of the TEMPUS PACAgro project to set up a Russian QA agency that will deal with higher education programmes in Agricultural Engineering, AQU Catalunya received a group of experts representing various different universities in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Kazan.

AQU Catalunya's 3+2 Committee has set out the Agency's position regarding Royal Decree 43/2015, which amended Royal Decree 1393/2007 and established the possibility of the reorganisation of Bachelor-level study programmes with a duration of between 180 and 240 ECTS.

The Catalan Parliament passed legislation dealing with AQU Catalunya (the AQU Catalunya Act) on 8 July. The bill, which contains twenty-six (26) articles, repealed the seventeen (17) articles in the 2003 Universities in Catalonia Act (LUC) that refer to the Agency.

The ANNUAL REPORT FOR 2014 is divided into six sections, which coincide with the Agency's main areas of strategic thrust: quality assurance of institutions and programmes, quality assurance of teaching, knowledge generation and transfer, internationalisation, strategic management and communication, and internal organisation.
