A quarterly publication of AQU Catalunya
Francesc Xavier Grau, president of AQU Catalunya
AQU Catalunya wishes to continue promoting institutional accreditation, and will therefore propose a new framework for the improvement of the institutional quality of the Catalan university system to the next Academic Council, which will serve as a guide in the assessment processes.
Next Wednesday, February 5th, AQU Catalunya will publish the new accreditation criteria for academic staff, which are more diverse and contextualized to each field of knowledge. Additionally, they introduce elements of qualitative assessment of teaching and research merits and, if applicable, knowledge transfer.
AQU Catalunya provides future university students with the most relevant information about the quality of the official degree courses taught in Catalonia through this website.
The report is designed as a document drawn up, approved and issued by the students with independence from the management teams of the centres and the university. Its content gathers the opinion and satisfaction of the student body regarding the assessed aspects.
The 'Student Report' represents a significant advance in the participation of the student community. For the first time, we have the opportunity to contribute in a structured and meaningful way to the assessment of our degree programmes and institutions.
