AQU Catalunya starts the fieldwork for the Employers Survey 2024
The survey begins today and is aimed at finding out what 26,000 companies think about how recent graduates from Catalan universities are trained when they are hired.

The fourth edition of the Employers survey is now beginning its fieldwork. As in the three previous editions, this AQU Catalunya project aims to collect data on several useful indicators to be able to find out the degree of satisfaction of people who hire workers who have recently graduated from Catalan universities. Following the tone of past editions, the survey is interested in the factors they value when choosing one candidate or another, in the difficulties they encounter during this process or in possible training gaps in the skills of the people hired by the employer group, among others. In addition, as a novelty for this edition, the survey is also interested in aspects that have recently become important in the Catalan university system: double degrees, dual training, micro-credentials or online training.
With all this data, the study aims to provide useful information to review and revise degree syllabuses offered in the Catalan Higher Education System, as well as to provide other useful information for the country's universities. The fieldwork will conclude on 20 December and is being sent to more than 26,000 employers and contracting organisations. This high figure that makes up the survey sample was reached through the contacts provided by the Catalan universities, which have collaborated with the study since the first edition. A Macbook Air will be raffled off among the companies and organisations that participate in the survey. The regulations can be viewed here.
The survey will accumulate the data obtained with two more surveys that AQU Catalunya will carry out in 2025 and 2026, focusing respectively on the satisfaction of graduates with their studies and on the employment outcomes of students in the Catalan university system. Therefore, in 2025, the conclusions of the Employers study that is now starting will be published together with the data obtained from the 2024 Satisfaction study and the 2023 Employment Outcomes study.
