A workshop entitled Ways to improve skills and training in nursing was held at the Autonomous University of Barcelona on 15 February.

AQU Catalunya has just released a report with conclusions based on the contributions made during the workshop that summarises the main challenges facing the undergraduate degree programme in Nursing. These challenges relate to training, specialisation and the links between the professional and academic worlds.

The workshop provided a platform for reflection and debate among the different actors responsible for the training of nurses, in which the current situation of the undergraduate degree programme in Nursing was discussed and proposals for improvement put forward. The new criteria for the evaluation and assessment of teaching staff on the degree programme in Nursing were also presented.
