ShareAQU Catalunya debuts at the Saló de l’Ensenyament
The Agency is dedicating its presence at the Saló to presenting the EUC Portal to prospective university students to help them choose a degree based on data.
AQU Catalunya is participating this year for the first time in the Saló de l’Ensenyament together with the Department of Universities and Research (DREU), which has included the Agency in its stand dedicated to university access. The Agency’s priority is to make the EUC Estudis Portal available to prospective university students visiting the fair, a tool that will allow them to decide which studies to enrol in based on data.
The EUC Studies Portal clearly and simply provides the data that the Agency regularly collects through its programme and institutional evaluation processes, as well as its surveys on graduate employment outcomes three years after completing their studies and satisfaction with their studies once completed. With this set of data presented in an accessible way, students can consult for each degree information such as expected income, the quality of the jobs they are likely to obtain, or satisfaction levels regarding a specific programme at a given institution based on the experiences of previous graduates.
This tool represents an excellent opportunity for future Catalan university students, as they can make such an important decision as choosing higher education studies based on data rather than assumptions. A public and free tool such as EUC Studies is virtually unique worldwide, as it provides in a single website, for each official university degree, publicly available data on quality, student satisfaction, and labour market outcomes.
In addition to helping visitors navigate the tool through tablets available at the stand, the Agency will also hold two daily group presentations. Beyond presenting the tool, the aim of these sessions is to introduce the Catalan university system in general terms, help students distinguish between official and institutional degrees, and provide a better understanding of AQU Catalunya and its role in quality assurance.
