AQU Catalunya launches a website to explain the quality assurance offered by recognised degrees to prospective undergraduate students
The Agency's website highlights the quality assurance offered by recognised degrees to its students, at the same time as the Saló de l'Ensenyament Education Fair.
AQU Catalunya has just launched a new page on its website that highlights the quality assurance offered by recognised degrees. The Agency intends the site to serve as a guide to university quality for young people who are currently in the process of choosing the degree they wish to study for the coming academic year, in view of the Saló de l'Ensenyament Education Fair being held in Barcelona this week. The website uses verified information to provide details on the quality and educational guarantees offered by recognised degrees, as well as on how choosing a recognised or non-recognised degree may affect your professional future.
Prospective students at Catalan universities are also shown how to identify the labels awarded by AQU Catalunya to degrees and institutions that pass its assessments. Finally, the website offers a number of useful tools to help students check whether a degree is a recognised or non-recognised degree. In addition to the quality of recognised degrees, the website also addresses the quality of the institutions that deliver them to help prospective students to distinguish between institutions that are institutionally accredited and those that are not.
AQU Catalunya is responsible for quality assurance in the Catalan Higher Education System and its main task involves the assessment and accreditation of university degree programmes, which makes it the public body in charge of indicating which degree programmes are quality-assured. In addition, one of the Agency's main missions is to provide relevant information to the different stakeholders in the system, including students.
