AQU Catalunya has renewed its Services Catalogue. Based on its ethical code, the Agency has included a list of all the values on the basis of which it must act in the document. These are independence, impartiality, integrity, innovation, public service, diversity, fairness, trust, transparency, cooperation, efficiency, internationalisation and competition.
In the Services Catalogue, AQU Catalunya details the services it makes available to the Catalan Higher Education System. It offers degree programme and institution assessment, training programme assessment and the drafting of methodologies and benchmarks. Regarding the assessment of university teaching staff, the Agency assesses teaching, research and management. As for knowledge generation, it conducts employment outcomes surveys and recent graduate satisfaction surveys on their degree programmes. It also carries out studies and dissemination in this domain. Finally, AQU Catalunya carries out international assessment, develops international projects and assesses foreign centres that wish to provide education and training in Catalonia as part of the internationalisation process.
In addition to listing the services it offers, AQU Catalunya has also added a section to the catalogue detailing its international alliances. The Agency is registered in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR). In addition, it is a member of the following networks: European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAHEE), Global Academic Integrity Network (GAIN) and Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA). It also has the recognition of the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) to accredit medical degrees and is certified with the ISO 9001 and 27001 standards, for quality management and information security management, respectively. Lastly, it adheres to the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA). The updated Services Catalogue was approved by the AQU Catalunya Governing Council at its meeting in July.
