ShareAQU Catalunya announces the results of the 2nd call for applications for accreditation for research and advanced research in 2023
A total of 480 applications were submitted, of which 61 were closed without assessment, 264 were considered successful and 155 were deemed unsuccessful. The percentage of successful applications was therefore 63% of the total.
AQU Catalunya has closed the second 2023 call for accreditation of research and advanced research. A total of 480 applications were submitted to the Agency in these two categories.
Sixty-one of these applications were closed without being assessed because they did not meet the minimum requirements for processing. From the remaining 419, 264 were considered successful and 155 were considered unsuccessful. Taken as a whole, AQU Catalunya gave a successful assessment to 63% of all the applications submitted.
If we analyse these data separately, with regard to research accreditation, the Agency received 310 applications, of which 37 were processed without assessment. The remaining 177 were considered successful and 96 unsuccessful. In other words, among the applications for research accreditation, the percentage of successful applications amounted to 64.8% of the total. Within this group, the group with the highest number of applications was the Social Sciences, with a total of 85. The group with the highest percentage of positive applications was the Science group, where 80% of the applications submitted were accredited successfully.

As for advanced research, the total number of applications received by AQU Catalunya in the second call for applications in 2023 was 162, of which 22 were processed without assessment and 57 were considered unsuccessful. The remaining 83 were considered successful. Overall, 59.3% of the applications from professors for accreditation of advanced research were processed successfully. The area of Social Sciences is the one with the highest number of applications, with a total of 54. The areas with the highest proportion of successful applications are Humanities and Sciences, with 83.3% of successful applications.
