AQU Catalunya takes part in the REACU 2026 Technical Workshops
The meeting of the Spanish Network of University Quality Agencies (REACU) aims to foster the exchange of experiences among agencies across the country in order to move forward jointly.
Three members of AQU Catalunya took part yesterday and today in the REACU 2026 Technical Workshops of the Spanish Network of University Quality Agencies. This meeting, organised by the Canary Agency for University Quality and Educational Evaluation (ACCUEE) and held in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, brings together for the first time technical and managerial staff from the different quality agencies across the country with the aim of sharing experiences and moving forward jointly through the exchange of knowledge.
The Head of the Quality Evaluation Area of AQU Catalunya, Esther Huertas, the Coordinator of the Quality Evaluation Area of AQU Catalunya, Albert Basart, and the Head of the Academic Staff and Research Evaluation Area of AQU Catalunya, Esteve Arboix, participated in various working sessions during the workshops. Specifically, on Thursday they took part in the sessions Institutional accreditation and certification of IQAS and Evaluation of non-civil servant academic staff. Likewise, they were also present at Friday’s working session, Implications of the new Royal Decree 905/2025 and its impact on quality assurance.
Within the framework of these sessions, the representatives of AQU Catalunya highlighted the Agency’s expertise in these matters, together with the other ten state agencies that are members of REACU. AQU Catalunya, founded in 1996, was one of the first university quality agencies in the country and became a founding member of REACU when this network was created in 2006.
