The Open University of Catalonia (UOC) has passed the certification process for the implementation of its Internal Quality Assurance System.
AQU Catalunya has certified the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) of the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). This university, which is fully online, has one single IQAS for the entire institution that includes all the official bachelor's and master's degree programmes taught there.
IQAS certification ensures that the system is implemented and deployed in the centre – in this case, in the whole university – and that it is suitable for ensuring the quality of the degrees taught there. IQAS certification is the necessary first step to be eligible for institutional accreditation, which enables the accreditation of all official bachelor's and master's degrees taught at a centre for a renewable period of five years.
