Esther Huertas, member of ENQA's first Agency Review Committee
The head of AQU Catalunya's Quality Assurance Department, Esther Huertas, has been appointed by the General Assembly of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) as a member of its first Agency Review Committee.

Every five years, quality assurance agencies operating in Europe to be recognised in the European framework and registered in the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR) have to pass an external evaluation of compliance with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area.
The last time the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) revised its statutes, it created the ENQA Agency Review Committee as the body responsible for validating external ENQA review reports by assessing the integrity of the review process and checking the quality and consistency of the reports.
The ENQA General Assembly on 22 April approved the appointment of the members of the first Agency Review Committee, including Esther Huertas, head of AQU Catalunya's Quality Assurance Department. Esther Huertas holds a PhD from the University of Barcelona and has extensive national and international experience in the field of higher education assessment and quality assurance.
The members of the Agency Review Committee, listed below, will serve a two-year renewable term:
- Sandra Bezjak, Assistant Director for Higher Education, ASHE (Croatia)
