Favourable reports validate 64 new degree programmes for the 2021-2022 academic year
In 2020, AQU Catalunya received 72 validation proposals from Catalan universities. Of these, 64 received a favourable report, 6 were assessed unfavourably, and 2 withdrew from the assessment process.

Of the 72 proposals received by the Agency from Catalan universities asking to have official degree programmes validated for teaching starting in the 2021-2022 academic year: 25 were bachelor's degrees, 44 were master's degrees and 3 were doctoral degrees. This is an increase of 12.7% over the previous year, when 63 proposals were submitted. However, the figures for recent years indicate a stabilisation in the number of requests received.
Regarding the assessment results, 89% of the validation requests assessed were favourable, in line with the results of previous years.
In relation to the number of requests by area of knowledge, the largest number of requests were received in the field of Social and Legal Sciences, followed by Arts and Humanities.
