Positive report on the accreditation of four university master’s degrees at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya
AQU Catalunya has issued a positive report on the accreditation of the university master’s degrees in Architecture, Advanced Studies in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Sustainable Intervention in the Built Environment, delivered by the Barcelona School of Architecture and the Vallès School of Architecture, both part of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC).
One of AQU Catalunya’s functions is to issue accreditation reports on university degrees in order to verify, through an external review visit, that programmes are being delivered appropriately. This is a process that all official university degrees taught at centres without institutional accreditation must undergo within six years of their initial verification or last accreditation in order to remain part of the official higher education offer.
The Specific Commission for Engineering and Architecture of AQU Catalunya’s Institutional and Programme Review Commission (CAIP) has issued a positive report on the master’s degrees in Architecture, Advanced Studies in Architecture, and Landscape Architecture, all delivered by the Barcelona School of Architecture of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. The commission has also issued a positive report on the master’s degree in Sustainable Intervention in the Built Environment, delivered by the Vallès School of Architecture. The four master’s degrees have received a positive report following an external review visit to the centres where they are taught, which confirmed the proper functioning of these programmes.
The accreditation reports issued by AQU Catalunya for the following degree programmes are available on the EUC Informes portal:
AQU Catalunya forwards the accreditation reports to the Consejo de Universidades, the body responsible for issuing the final decision in the accreditation process. AQU Catalunya publishes the accreditation results and issues the accreditation seal and certificate for the corresponding degree, which are available on EUC Estudis, the web portal that provides comprehensive information on the quality of official university degrees in Catalonia.
