With this latest webinar, AQU Catalunya continues the dissemination of the results of the survey which was also used to complete the related study with the support of the “la Caixa” Banking Foundation and the Girona Association of Graduate Engineers and Industrial Technical Engineers, the Catalunya Central Association of Graduate Engineers and Industrial Technical Engineers and the Agency for Qualification of Professional Engineers.

AQU Catalunya has organised a webinar on 12 May 2023 on “Employability and university education in the field of Production Engineering”, at which it will present the results of the third Employers survey (2020-2023). As a new feature in this edition, employers from this sector were asked about the skills of students on work placements.
Jaume Valls, director of AQU Catalunya, will open the webinar with a welcome address.
We will then hear from Prof. Antoine Van den Beemt, associate professor at the Eindhoven School of Education, with the presentation “Teaching engineers of the future: the case of Challenge-Based Learning at Eindhoven University of Technology”.
Next will be a presentation by Josep Lluís Mateos, who headed the employers survey at AQU Catalunya, titled “Employability and university education in the field of Production Engineering”.
Finally, there will be a round table moderated by Enric Fossas, director of the Barcelona School of Industrial Engineering (ETSEIB), Technical University of Catalonia, with Marta Peña Carreras, deputy director-head of studies for first-year bachelor’s degree courses and social engagement at ETSEIB; M. Àngels Pita González, manager of the Girona Association of Graduate Engineers and Technical Industrial Engineers; and Oriol Povill, graduate of School with a degree in Industrial Design Engineering.
This online seminar aims to offer a space for reflection to improve the employability of Production Engineering graduates and is open to the entire university community. It is aimed especially at university managers, teachers and the student body.
