With this new seminar, AQU Catalunya continues to disseminate the results of the survey carried out with the support of the “la Caixa” Banking Foundation and the Official College of Psychologists of Catalonia.
AQU Catalunya has organised a webinar on 17 October titled Employability and university training in Psychology, at which it will present the results of the third Employers survey (2020-2023). As a new feature in this edition, employers from this sector were asked about the competencies of students on internships.
Jaume Valls, director of AQU Catalunya, will open the webinar with a welcome address.
We will then hear from Prof. Francisco J. Medina, Dean of the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Sevilla and President of the Committee of Psychology Deans at Spanish Universities.
Next will be a presentation by Josep Lluís Mateos, who headed the survey of employers at AQU Catalunya, titled "Employability and university training in the field of Psychology".
Finally, there will be a round table discussion with the participation of Susana Pallarès, lecturer in Organisation at the Autonomous University of Barcelona Faculty of Psychology; Elisa Micciola, commissioner for Development and Employment of the Psychology Association of Catalonia; and Aniol Peracaula, who graduated from the University of Girona with a degree in Psychology and is now design researcher at Frontify. The debate will be moderated by Antonio Solanas, dean of the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Barcelona (UB).
The webinar is open to the entire university community and is aimed at university leaders in general and those responsible for the discipline analysed in particular; at university technical units; at quality assurance agencies; at members of the Official College of Psychologists of Catalonia; at employers; at government officials; at graduates; at teachers and students in general; and at other stakeholders.
