The World Wide Web consortium (W3C), through the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), has proposed guidelines for accessibility to web contents to eliminate any barriers restricting the rights of disabled persons to access information and communication.
The Agency's website has been developed in line with these guidelines and the Double A level defined by the WAI.
Font size is not fixed: this can be adapted by the user using the Ctrl key and the mouse.
Web page structure (XHTML) and aesthetics (CSS) are separate: the document is read by screen readers for the visually impaired and blind in a logical way.
The content can be understood without the need to actually see the images, which always have alternative descriptions.
An understanding of the information is totally independent of the use of colour.
