The Catalan public universities (UB, UAB, UPC, UPF, UdL, UdG and URV) and AQU Catalunya have signed an agreement commissioning the Agency to issue reports recognising the sexennial research activity of Ramon y Cajal and Beatriz Galindo researchers

Based on the agreement of the Inter-university Council of Catalonia Board of 14 October 2021, the Catalan public universities (University of Barcelona, Autonomous University of Barcelona, Technical University of Catalonia, Pompeu Fabra University, University of Lleida, University of Girona and Rovira i Virgili University) and AQU Catalunya have signed an agreement commissioning AQU Catalunya with recognising the sexennial research activity of Ramón y Cajal and Beatriz Galindo research staff at the Catalan public universities.
A call will be established annually that will define the assessment procedure and methodology and will be made public with sufficient notice on the AQU Catalunya website.
The assessment criteria applicable to this new call will be the same as those used in the assessment of the research merits of the civil servant and non-civil servant teaching and research staff at the Catalan public universities.
The specific commissions of the Research Assessment Commission will be responsible for issuing the report recognising the research activity of Ramón y Cajal and Beatriz Galindo research staff.
The first call for the issue of reports recognising the research activity of Ramon y Cajal and Beatriz Galindo researchers is expected to open from 27 June to 15 July 2022, inclusive.
