Research Assessment Commission
The responsibilities of the Research Assessment Commission (CAR) are as follows:
- The issue of certificates of accreditation for research and advanced research.
- Assessment of the activities of researchers, the assessment of individual research merits of both civil service and contract teaching and research staff regarding salary upgrades, in compliance with LOU, articles 55 and 69.
- Assessment of the research activities of teaching and research staff in private universities.
- The issuance of corresponding reports for the recruitment of lecturers in accordance with prevailing Catalan legislation (Law on the Universities in Catalonia). Until the year 2015, the body responsible for the emission of these reports has been the Tenure-track Lecturer and Collaborating Lecturer Commission.
