4 sessions of the RACO Journals open access repository on 20 and 27 October and 3 and 10 November: Journal quality and visibility
The Consorci de Serveis Universitaris de Catalunya (CSUC), the Institut d'Estudis Catalans (IEC), the University of Barcelona/UB's Centre de Recerca en Informació Comunicació i Cultura (CRICC) and AQU Catalunya have organised 4 sessions for the RACÓ Journals event: Journal quality and visibility on 20 and 27 October and 3 and 10 November, 2020. RACO is a cooperative repository for open access journals in Catalan.
Each session is an hour and a half long (from 12.30 to 2 pm) and is being livestreamed on Youtube and Facebook. The link is provided by e.mail.
The topics for the sessions are as follows:
20 October, 12.30 - 2 pm
Session 1: The quality enhancement and assurance of scientific journals
- Moderator: Martí Casadesús, AQU Catalunya
- Speakers:
Esteve Arboix, secretary of AQU Catalunya's Research Assessment Committee (CAR).
Ismael Ràfols, senior researcher at Leiden University's Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS).
Flocel Sabaté, professor of Medieval History at the University of Lerida and member of the Research Assessment Committee/CAR's specific committee dealing with Humanities.

Session 2: Accelerating change and the demands facing scientific journals
