AQU Catalunya Trains Around Sixty People at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in Learning Outcomes
Academic staff and technical personnel from the UAB attend a two-hour training session on drafting learning outcomes, key elements of university programme profiles assessed by AQU Catalunya’s Specific Evaluation Committees.
AQU Catalunya trained around sixty people last Friday at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in learning outcomes. The session was aimed at academic staff and technical personnel from the UAB interested in improving the drafting of learning outcomes in university degree programmes submitted by the University’s faculties and schools in the context of verification and modification processes, which are assessed by AQU Catalunya’s Specific Evaluation Committees.
The training, delivered by AQU Catalunya technical adviser Josep Manel Torres, began with a brief introduction explaining what learning outcomes are. He then presented a series of practical case studies highlighting areas for improvement and examples of good practice identified in programme documentation from the UAB.
This training activity is part of AQU Catalunya’s ongoing collaboration with the Quality Units of Catalan universities. Regarding the design and drafting of learning outcomes, the Agency has delivered various sessions, including those aimed at the entire Catalan university system on Focus 1 and Focus 2, regular training sessions for evaluation committees, and specific workshops for Quality Units to improve the drafting of learning outcomes in degree programme documentation.
