AQU Catalunya holds the first 2026 meeting of the Student Committee
The Agency’s director and committee president, Mercè Gisbert, introduced the two people who have been appointed as new members.
AQU Catalunya held today the first 2026 meeting of the Student Committee. First, the gathering allowed the committee’s president and director of AQU Catalunya, Mercè Gisbert, to introduce to the rest of the members the two people who have joined the body. Oriol Aparicio Casanovas and Aitana Martínez Donaire are the two new members, joining in replacement of Paula Gelpí Forcada and Beatriu Reus Bisquert, who recently stepped down from the committee because they have become student representatives in other AQU Catalunya bodies. Gisbert expressed her gratitude to both for their dedication over the past years as committee members.
Next, Esteve Arboix, head of the Teaching Staff Evaluation Area, and Pol Maceira, technician in the Quality Evaluation Area, presented to the committee the proposal to update the Guide for the certification of teaching activity evaluation processes. The committee contributed suggestions to incorporate the student perspective into the new methodology. Afterwards, the committee discussed the organisation of future editions of the training course for students on quality assurance in higher education. The third and final item on the agenda focused on monitoring the “Student Report” project for the accreditation of degrees and institutions.
The Student Committee of AQU Catalunya, created in 2010, is made up of up to twelve students and is chaired by the director of AQU Catalunya. The committee works to expand and systematise student participation in the Agency’s evaluation activities. It also advises AQU Catalunya on projects that have a direct impact on the student body and takes part in the development of studies of interest to this group.
