AQU Catalunya meta-assessment for the year 2021
The 2021 Meta-Assessment Report on the internal operations of the Agency was submitted to the AQU Catalunya Governing Council.
AQU Catalunya carries out three-tier meta-assessment of its internal operations: the meta-assessment of projects, the meta-assessment of areas and processes and the overall meta-assessment of AQU Catalunya, which is submitted to the Governing Council.
The 2021 meta-assessment report highlights a number of new developments and structural changes that took place throughout the year and that affected the Agency's internal operation: in the last quarter of the year, Dr Jaume Valls Pasola was appointed director of AQU Catalunya, replacing Dr Martí Casadesús Fa; two state-wide regulations were approved, Royal Decree 640/2021 and Royal Decree 822/2021, which have had a major impact on the Agency's assessments; and all assessment activities continued to be held online.
In the budget, all the obligations could be met and the year closed with a surplus, and the administrative contracting system started the previous year was fully implemented, reinforcing compliance with the regulations and allowing contracts to be thoroughly monitored.
In terms of staff, the stabilisation process continued, with 78% of the workforce covering permanent jobs at year end.
In terms of activities, overall 94% of the activities foreseen in the 2021 plan of activities, 57% of the activities included in the Strategic Plan 2019-2022, and 87% of the actions included in the Action Plan for compliance with the ESG criteria scheduled for 2019-2022 were completed.
With regard to the internal quality assurance and information security system, based on ISO 9001 and 27001 standards, 129 improvement actions were launched during the year, of which 77% were completed.
