ShareAQU Catalunya's Policy on Quality and Information Security under review
The AQU Catalunya Governing Council has reviewed and approved the Policy on Quality and Information Security, which does not incorporate any changes compared to the previous version, as AQU Catalunya's commitments regarding the quality and security of information are still valid.
AQU Catalunya's Quality Management System/Information Security Management System (QMS/ISMS) establishes that this related Policy be reviewed and approved by the Agency's Governing Council whenever there is a change of director.
The Policy on Quality and Information Security sets out commitments to stakeholder satisfaction and continuous improvement, taking into account the context and objectives to be achieved. The new version does not incorporate any changes compared to the previous one since AQU Catalunya's commitments to the quality and security of its information remain valid.
The commitments to quality are:
- The external review of AQU Catalunya in accordance with European and international quality standards.
- An ISO 9001-based internal quality management system for the activities carried out by AQU Catalunya.
- Staff training, feedback mechanisms (both internal and external) and all internal and external communications that facilitate the continuous enhancement of the Agency's activities.
And in regard to security, they are:
- Ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information it receives and processes as salient measures to strengthen the trust of stakeholders in the Agency’s activities.
- Adoption of the necessary measures to ensure information security, with the objective of appropriately protecting the interests and rights of users of the Agency's services.
- Establishing conditions of trust in the use of electronic media and the continuous provision of services through information systems that comply with legislation and current standards for security, such as international information security standard ISO 27001.
Once approved, the Policy is made public to share it mainly with AQU Catalunya stakeholders.
