ShareAQU Catalunya takes part in Session on PhD accreditation at Ramon Llull University
The director of AQU Catalunya, Martí Casadesús, explained the PhD programme accreditation procedure at Ramon Llull University to clarify doubts regarding assessment
Ramon Llull University (URL) invited AQU Catalunya to explain the official PhD programme accreditation procedure. One of the main objectives of the session was to clarify doubts regarding the assessment process, given that accreditation of doctoral programmes at the URL begins in September 2021.
Agency director, Martí Casadesús, explained the details of PhD programme accreditation and reviewed the applicable standards and assessment criteria, with special emphasis on the aspects of the Guide to the accreditation of official PhD programmes amended by the Institutional and Programme Assessment Committee (CAIP) in the latest review of the Guide.
Since 2016, AQU Catalunya has accredited 746 degree programmes, 65 of which are PhD programmes. In regard to accredited doctoral programmes, 45% were rated excellent.
