AQU Catalunya trains around twenty members of the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya in learning outcomes
Academic leaders and technical staff from ESMUC attended a two-hour training session on drafting learning outcomes, a key element of the graduate profile of university degree programmes assessed by the Specific Assessment Committees.
AQU Catalunya today delivered training on learning outcomes to around twenty members of the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) at the Agency’s headquarters. The participants included academic leaders and technical staff interested in improving the drafting of learning outcomes for the degree programmes submitted by higher education institutions for verification and modification processes and assessed by AQU Catalunya’s Specific Assessment Committees.
The training session, delivered by AQU Catalunya technical adviser Josep Manel Torres, began with a brief introduction explaining what learning outcomes are. It was followed by a discussion of practical case studies that highlighted areas for improvement and examples of good practice identified in ESMUC programme specifications.
The training is the result of AQU Catalunya’s ongoing collaboration with the universities’ Technical Quality Units. With regard to the development and drafting of learning outcomes, the Agency has delivered several training sessions, including those addressed to the entire Catalan university system on Focus 1 and Focus 2, the regular training sessions organised for assessment committees, and the training provided to Technical Quality Units to improve the drafting of learning outcomes in university programme specifications.
