All in-person site visits planned until the end of July 2020 have been cancelled
On account of the consecutive extensions to the state of emergency declared due to the COVID-19 outbreak, AQU Catalunya has cancelled all in-person site visits for programme accreditation and internal QA systems (IQaS) certification planned until the end of July.
In spite of the fact that a progressive easing of restrictions following the recent lockdown may be activated in the coming weeks, the conditions at the present time and during the coming months will make in-person assessment and the safety of all those taking part in the assessment procedure extremely complicated. AQU Catalunya is therefore planning site visits via videoconferencing for all faculties, schools and programmes that submitted self-assessment reports according to the planned timetable, wherever this is possible and taking into account the opinion of the universities involved.
The site visits via video link will follow the "Protocol for emergency action in the accreditation of recognised programmes of study due to the effects caused by the coronavirus SARS-COV-2", approved by AQU Catalunya to provide full quality assurance for the procedure.
In parallel with this, AQU Catalunya is working on the various different actions being undertaken and planned for the current four-month period, in line with the ongoing developments and situation with the pandemic.
