Assessment of the second call for short learning programmes comes to an end
Short learning programmes (SLPs) are a type of course (unit, module, etc.) in a particular subject area that focus on specific societal needs which can be a part of larger degree programmes.

AQU Catalunya has recently completed its assessment of the second call for short learning programmes, which involved two phases:
- Design assessment: The report collects generic information on the programme (justification, admission requirements, learning objectives, methods for assessing learning outcomes, training modules, teacher profile, etc.).
- Assessment of the proposals of the applicant universities wishing to teach the programmes: This report collects the specific information of each centre that wants to teach one or several designed learning programmes.
The Agency has competed the design assessment of the Short learning programmes in Automotive Industry and Sustainable Mobility, and Renewable Energies.
In total, design assessment reports have been issued for sixteen short learning programmes. These are eight micro-credentials in the field of Automotive Industry and Sustainable Mobility:
- Robotics and Automation for the Automotive Industry
- Digitisation of Automotive Manufacturing
- Advanced Materials for Vehicles
- Urban Mobility Systems
- Cybersecurity for Vehicles
- Electric Vehicles
- Connected Vehicle Technologies
- ADAS Systems for Vehicles
And eight micro-credentials in the field of Renewable Energies:
- Production Projects and Bioenergetic Applications [Catalan]
- Integration of Storage Technologies [Catalan]
- Operation and Planning of Intelligent Electrical Networks [Catalan]
- Energy Management in Industrial Systems, Buildings and Equipment [Catalan]
- Green Hydrogen, Production, Conservation and Applications [Catalan]
- Business Planning in the Energy Transition [Catalan]
- Specialist in Photovoltaic Systems: New Designs, Measurements and Materials [Catalan]
- Connection to the Grid and Integration of Wind Energy [Catalan]
Likewise, assessment of the proposals for six short learning programmes in the field of Renewable Energies that will be taught at Rovira i Virgili University has also been completed:
- Ex ante accreditation of the short learning programme: Production Projects and Bioenergetic Applications [Catalan]
- Ex ante accreditation of the short learning programme: Integration of Storage Technologies [Catalan]
- Ex ante accreditation of the short learning programme: Green Hydrogen, Production, Conservation and Applications [Catalan]
- Ex ante accreditation of the short learning programme: Business Planning in the Energy Transition [Catalan]
- Ex ante accreditation of the short learning programme: Specialist in Photovoltaic Systems: New Designs, Measurements and Materials [Catalan]
- Ex ante accreditation of the short learning programme: Connection to the Grid and Integration of Wind Energy [Catalan]
The promotion of this type of course makes it possible to establish bridges between the academic and professional training systems, in addition to promoting lifelong learning.
