CAIP adjusts validation and modification procedures
The Institutional and Programme Review Commission met to approve improvements in several assessment processes after the Ministry's IT application went live. In this meeting, the Benchmark for Law and Legal Specialisations was also approved, among other documents.

The Institutional and Programme Review Commission (CAIP) held the first meeting of 2023 in which the president of the Commission reported on a number of issues, the most relevant being the actions that the Agency is carrying out in the deployment of Royal Decree 822/2021, of 28 September, which establishes the organisation of university courses and the quality assurance procedure.
The CAIP also approved two technical improvements, the first in the procedure for presenting degree programme validation and modification reports, which allows the assessment commissions to perform their functions in the most operational way possible; and, the second in the resolution procedure for non-substantial modifications presented by centres not institutionally accredited. The CAIP also approved the proposed procedure for the presentation of joint international degree programmes following the European Approach methodology.
As part of the meeting, the "Benchmark for Law and Legal Specialisations" was presented and approved, which provides guidelines for the design of study programmes for the bachelor's degree in Law and the university master's degree in Legal Practice.
Finally, the Commission agreed to recognise the accreditation process for the bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine of the Autonomous University of Barcelona that will be carried out through the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education (EAEVE), as long as this Agency remains registered on the European Register of Quality Agencies (EQAR), so that AQU Catalunya can carry out the process for the renewal of the accreditation of this degree in accordance with the provisions in force.
