Catalan university graduates' satisfaction with education received improves
The aggregate results of satisfaction surveys of recent graduates show a general improvement in satisfaction with bachelor's degree studies (2018-2020: 7.2 out of 10) compared to the previous three-year period (2015-2017: 7 out of 10).

After surveying more than 40,000 graduates who completed their studies in Catalonia between 2018 and 2020, AQU Catalunya has published the three-year report on satisfaction with university education. A new feature of this latest report is that it includes the results of the satisfaction surveys for master's-level studies. The aim of these reports is to provide Catalan higher education institutions with more in-depth knowledge of the system's courses and how they might be improved.
Results on Catalan university graduates' satisfaction with their bachelor's and master's degree studies show that students rate the education received in Catalonia favourably: 7.2 for bachelor's degrees and 7.0 for master's degrees. The main conclusions include the following:
- Compared to the previous three-year report, graduates between 2018 and 2020 were more satisfied overall with their bachelor's degree studies, and there is no disciplinary area at this level with a score below 7.0. In the 2015-2017 three-year period, the overall score was 7.
- Science and Health were the fields with the most satisfied graduates (7.6 and 7.5 respectively), while Engineering had the least satisfied (7.0).
- Science and Humanities were the fields with the most satisfied master's degree holders (7.3 and 7.2 respectively), with Social Sciences having the least satisfied (6.9).
- Both bachelor's and master's degree holders were particularly pleased with the results of their university training (7.1 and 7.3), as they consider it to be effective in improving their personal (independent learning, problem-solving, critical analysis), professional and communication skills.
- The indicators with the most room for improvement were those linked to the teaching-learning processes (among others, the coordination of subjects, tutoring and assessment systems): they received a score of 6.0 in the case of bachelor's degrees and 7.0 in the case of master's degrees.
- Regarding bachelor's degrees, one of the indicators that requires greater attention is the management of complaints from students, which received a 5.5.
The results at bachelor's degree level can be consulted on the EUC Data website, where you will find the indicators by degree or sub-area of knowledge, with the aggregate data from the last three years of satisfaction surveys (2018-2020).
