Executive report on the activity of the Research Assessment Committee 2020 now published
The report aims to give account of the Research Assessment Committee's activities in 2020.

Every year AQU Catalunya draws up a report on the activity of the Research Assessment Committee, which is presented by the Committee chairperson to the Agency's Governing Council as an accountability report.
The executive report explains that 2020 was marked by the impact of the pandemic and that the Committee's activities had to be adapted, but in no way did they come to a halt.
In addition to managing the different calls for teaching staff assessment, the Committee's activity in 2020 focused on:
- Monitoring the "particular field" concept agreed for the areas of knowledge of Nursing and Physiotherapy.
- Approving the extraordinary call for recognition of research periods of knowledge transfer and innovation for civil servant teaching and research staff.
- Taking measures to reduce the consequences of maternity/paternity leave on the research career of teaching and research staff.
- Adapting the Research Assessment Committee to bring it line with the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA).
- Revising the assessment criteria of the specific committees for Humanities and Engineering.
- Supporting the Jaume Serra Húnter Programme (SHP).
In terms of calls, there was a 23% decrease overall in the number of applications for pre-selection reports and research and advanced research accreditation, and a 19% increase in applications for assessment of research merits, both with respect to 2019.
With respect to issuing reports for tenure-eligible lecturer and research and advanced research accreditations, overall, 9 out of 10 applicants passed their assessment at the first attempt.
