One of AQU Catalunya's many functions is the accreditation of university degree programmes, i.e. verification based on an external visit that the degree programme is being carried out as planned. This is a process that all official university degrees must go through within six years of their initial validation or last accreditation. For this reason, the master's degrees in Teaching of Spanish and Catalan as Second Languages and in Research in Humanities, from the Universitat de Girona have recently undergone the accreditation process.
The Specific commission for Arts and Humanities of the Institutional and Programme Review Commission issued favourable reports on the operation of the master's degrees, following external visits to demonstrate the proper functioning of these degrees.
The reports on the master's degrees can be found on the EUC Reports portal:

- University Master's Degree in Research in Humanities
AQU Catalunya has sent these reports to the Spanish Universities Council, which will resolve the process with the corresponding accreditation. Once the accreditation process is complete, AQU Catalunya will publish the results and issue the quality label and certificate of accreditation for the degree programmes, which can be consulted on EUC Studies, the web portal with all the information on the quality of official university degree programmes offered in Catalonia.
