At the meeting of the University QA units Committee, AQU Catalunya reported on the Agency's most recent activities and on the deployment of Royal Decree 822/2021 and presented the new version of the Guide to the accreditation of official bachelor's and master's degrees.
Regarding its most recent activities, the Agency reported on the assessment activities associated with the Framework for the validation, monitoring, modification and accreditation of recognised university degrees (MVSMA), emphasising that the validations and modifications of the 2022 call are being carried out following the guidelines of Royal Decree 822/2021. Likewise, it presented the forecast on the assessment processes planned for 2023, which will be submitted to the next AQU Catalunya Governing Board, along with the call for students that has been made through the vice-rectors for students and the proposal of centres that could carry out the students report on the accreditation process. Finally, it was explained that a satisfaction survey will be conducted with various Agency stakeholders, among them, the QA units, in July.
In regard to the implementation of Royal Decree 822/2021, it reported on the meetings that have been held with the Spanish Network of University Quality Agencies (REACU) Permanent Working Group and the Ministry of Universities in which AQU Catalunya has participated.
Finally, the new version of the Guide to the accreditation of official bachelor's and master's degrees was presented, which does not contain relevant changes in content – the six dimensions of assessment are maintained – but which is updated with a desire for completeness, clarification and synthesis. The guide readjusts the sub-dimensions, taking into account the reference documents and the accreditation experience.
