AQU Catalunya issues a favourable report granting accreditation with excellence to the Degree in Medicine offered by the Autonomous University of Barcelona in accordance with the standards of AQU Catalunya and the WFME
In recognition of the improvement in the quality of the medical education provided by the Faculty of Medicine at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, AQU Catalunya has issued a report granting accreditation with excellence to the Degree in Medicine, in accordance with the standards of AQU Catalunya and the “basic education standards” of the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).

AQU Catalunya’s duties include issuing accreditation reports on university degrees to validate, through an external visit, that the degree programmes are being developed in an appropriate manner. This process must be passed by all official university degrees taught in non-institutionally accredited centres within six years of their initial validation or last accreditation in order for them to continue to form part of the educational offer.
The Institutional and Programme Review Commission’s (CAIP) Specific commission for Health Sciences has issued a positive report granting accreditation with excellence to the Degree in Medicine taught at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. This approval followed an external visit to the university campus, which confirmed that the study programme is being implemented effectively.
You can find the accreditation report issued by AQU Catalunya for the following degree on the EUC Reports portal:
AQU Catalunya submits the accreditation reports to the Council of Universities, whose decision-making body is responsible for the accreditation process. AQU Catalunya publishes the accreditation results and issues the accreditation seal and certificate for the degree programme in question, which are available on the EUC Estudis website, which contains all the information on the quality of recognised university degree programmes in Catalonia.
