Meeting of the Institutional and Programme Review Commission
The aim of the meeting was to update the guidelines and procedures for validation, modification and accreditation, both for degree programmes and university institutions.
The AQU Catalunya Institutional and Programme Review Commission (CAIP) met this Tuesday, mainly to update the methodologies and procedures of the degree programme and institutional assessment processes it carries out.
Specifically, the CAIP has approved the update of the Guide to the design, validation and modification of recognised bachelor's and master's degree programmes and the Guide to the accreditation of recognised bachelor's and master's degree programmes. It also approved the Guide to the design, validation and modification of recognised PhD programmes.
Likewise, it has also approved the updating of assessment procedures for the validation, modification and accreditation processes for recognised degree programmes, the certification of internal quality assurance systems in higher education institutions, and the pilot procedure for the institutional accreditation of university centres. In the case of procedures, it has also approved the validation and modification procedures for higher arts education.
Finally, the CAIP also debated on the Industrial Engineering and Nursing benchmarks and other upcoming benchmarks that the Agency has to draw up.
