The Appeals Committee of AQU Catalunya (COAPEL) met virtually on May 15. This meeting, the third of 2025, aimed to resolve a total of 20 appeals submitted by university professors. After approving the minutes of the previous session, the Committee resolved thirteen appeals related to the 2024 associate professor call and seven appeals concerning the 2024 full professor call.
The Committee, chaired by Neus Vidal Martínez, full professor at the University of Barcelona, is the body within AQU Catalunya responsible for resolving appeals against the decisions of the Research Evaluation Committee and other evaluation, certification, and accreditation committees. Its resolutions are final in administrative terms. During 2024, COAPEL resolved a total of 312 appeals filed by university professors.
