Afterwards, a round table entitled 'The Evaluation of Research in Catalan' took place, moderated by Marina Massaguer, sociolinguist and linguistic policy advisor at the Department of Research and Universities. As the director of AQU Catalunya explained at the beginning of the conferences, "the aim of the event is to advance the incorporation of local research and research in Catalan in research assessment and teacher accreditation processes". "The conference was structured around three themes: the Plan to Strengthen the Catalan language in the Catalan Higher Education System, the roll-out of the Organic Law on the University System, which also addresses these issues, and finally the development of the CoARA platform, which promotes a more multidimensional perspective on research assessment at European level", he added.
