The Pere Tarrés Faculty of Social Education and Social Work at Ramon Llull University was one of the first centres to be institutionally accredited in 2018, following AQU Catalunya's certification of its internal quality assurance system (IQAS), the last step after all the University's bachelor's and master's degree programmes had been accredited. Accreditation is valid for five years, so this is the first Catalan centre to undergo the renewal process, which for the first time applies the Guide to the Institutional Accreditation of University Centres, approved in July 2021. The external review visit will take place on 14 and 15 December 2023.
During the review, the external review panel will analyse the policies and strategy, the design, approval and deployment of degree programmes, the admission, progression, recognition and certification of students, teaching staff, student-centred learning, teaching and assessment, learning and student support resources, IQAS implementation and academic results, and public information.
Currently, there are 55 institutionally accredited centres in Catalonia, which will have to pass this review process as their individual institutional accreditations expire. You can find a list of centres here: Institutional accreditations.
