A total of 665 applications were submitted in the first call of 2023 Of the 376 research and 207 advanced research applications that were finally assessed, 63% and 53% respectively were favourable.

The AQU Catalunya Research Assessment Commission specific commissions have resolved all applications for the issue of research accreditations and advanced research accreditations from the first call of 2023. All resolved applications have been notified digitally to the interested parties.
A total of 424 applications were submitted to obtain research accreditation and 241 for advanced research accreditation, which represents an increase of 35% and 54% respectively over the 1st call of 2022. With regard to research accreditations, the overall percentage of favourable decisions has decreased by 3 percentage points compared to the 1st call of 2022, in which 66% of applications were favourable, while in this year's call, 63% were favourable. In the case of advanced research, the number of favourable decisions has also decreased, in this case by 9 percentage points: the number of favourable decisions has gone from 62% to 53%.
