The AQU Catalunya Institutional and Programme Assessment Commission (CAIP) has approved the Standards and criteria for the assessment of university bachelor's and master's degrees and the Guide to the elaboration, validation and modification of recognised bachelor's and master's degree programmes, adapted to the requirements of Royal Decree 822/2021, of 28 September, establishing the organisation of university education and the procedure for quality assurance.
The main aim of the Standards and criteria for the quality assessment of university bachelor's and master's degrees, established by AQU Catalunya, is to guarantee the equivalence between the training received and the European qualification level. The document presents the areas in which degree programme quality assessment is carried out, and outlines the criteria that enable validation of the achievement of the standards and sub-standards for each of these areas.
The Guide to the elaboration, validation and modification of recognised bachelor's and master's degree programmes, which develops the Standards and criteria for the assessment of university bachelor's and master's degrees, aims to guide both university centres in the internal process of preparing, reviewing and modifying validation reports, and the commissions that must evaluate the achievement of the standards and criteria.
