The Quality Audit Network (QAN) has published its fourth study since its creation in 2008. This informal network of mainly European quality agencies has dedicated this fourth document, called Institutional evaluation frameworks: design and review processes among the agencies of the Quality Audit Network, to institutional quality, the issue that is the focus of its activity Specifically, this comparative study of the QAN is aimed at providing insight into the institutional evaluation frameworks of the member agencies in order to identify both what they have in common and the differences between them.
In this way, the document aims to serve as a source of inspiration, enabling agencies to base their practice on that of other countries and their experiences. In other words, it aims to increase the understanding of the different types of institutional assessment frameworks in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). It also aims to gather information on best practices in design methodology for the improvement of assessment frameworks. ç
From the outset, AQU Catalunya has been a member of the QAN, which brings together European quality agencies and other institutions in the field of higher education in a flexible way so that they can share information and cooperate through an annual meeting organised for the technical staff at these institutions. As a result of the work carried out at these meetings, the QAN publishes its studies, which are shared with all participants and are available to all interested parties. The document was signed by Amélie Bensimon, Sophie Guillet, Dietlinde Kastelliz, Mirella Nordblad and Lars Pedersen. You can consult it here.
