ShareUAB's Faculty of Education Sciences, institutionally accredited
All official university bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorates taught at these faculties have been automatically accredited for another six years, as established in Royal Decree 640/2021.
AQU Catalunya has institutionally accredited Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona's Faculty of Education Sciences.
The institutional accreditation of university centres entails the accreditation of all official university bachelor degrees, and master degrees and doctorates taught at that centre for a renewable period of six years, as established in Royal Decree 640/2021. Currently, Catalan universities and AQU Catalunya are working to promote institutional accreditation in the period 2022-2024 in order to replace the degree-by-degree accreditation process for training programmes. In this way, university autonomy is strengthened, the assessment load is reduced and efficiency is increased for the entire Catalan university system.
According to Royal Decree 640/2021, centres with a certified Internal Quality Assurance System that have accredited at least 50% of the bachelor's degrees, 50% of the master's degrees and 50% of PhD Programmes they offer can opt for institutional accreditation.
