ShareUB Faculty of Biology and Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics obtain institutional accreditation
All official university degrees taught at the Faculty of Biology and the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of the University of Barcelona have been automatically accredited for a period of six years, as established by Royal Decree 640/2021.
AQU Catalunya has issued a favourable report for the Faculty of Biology and the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of the University of Barcelona, thereby granting them institutional accreditation. These two centres will be added to the list of UB centres who already held institutional accreditation: the Faculty of Economics and Business, the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Chemistry
Catalan universities and AQU Catalunya are working to promote institutional accreditation in the period 2022-2024 in order to replace the degree-by-degree accreditation process for training programmes. In this way, university autonomy is strengthened, the assessment load is reduced and efficiency is increased for the entire Catalan Higher Education System.
