UPC Faculty of Nautical Studies of Barcelona and Barcelona East School of Engineering obtain institutional accreditation
All official university degrees taught at the Faculty of Nautical Studies of Barcelona and Barcelona East School of Engineering of the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) have been automatically accredited for a period of six years, as established by Royal Decree 640/2021.

AQU Catalunya has issued a favourable report for the Faculty of Nautical Studies of Barcelona and Barcelona East School of Engineering of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya-BarcelonaTech (UPC), thereby granting them institutional accreditation. These two centres are the first at the UPC to obtain this accreditation.
Catalan universities and AQU Catalunya are working to promote institutional accreditation in the period 2022-2024 in order to replace the degree-by-degree accreditation process for training programmes. In this way, university autonomy is strengthened, the assessment load is reduced and efficiency is increased for the entire Catalan Higher Education System. The Catalan Higher Education System has 49 institutionally accredited centres. You will find the institutional accreditation reports on the EUC Reports portal:
