URL and UIC teaching assessment handbooks receive five-year accreditation
Since 2003, AQU Catalunya has been working together with the Catalan public and private universities to develop handbooks for the assessment of merits in teaching. It is a pioneering programme throughout Spain.

AQU Catalunya has accredited the teaching assessment handbooks of Ramon Llull University (URL) and the International University of Catalonia (UIC) for a period of five years.
The assessment of teaching activity has been a priority for AQU Catalunya since its creation. The universities' teaching assessment manuals, which the Agency accredits, are formally agreed-upon documents that contain university policy in this area. These documents specify the methodology, agents, instruments and purposes of teaching assessment. The universities establish their assessment model and the Agency certifies that it is applied in accordance with their criteria.
URL and UIC teaching assessment handbooks will be up for accreditation renewal in 2028. The teaching assessment handbooks of the following public universities were accredited in 2021 and will thus be up for renewal in 2027: University of Barcelona, Autonomous University of Barcelona, Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Pompeu Fabra University, University of Lleida, University of Girona and Rovira i Virgili University.
