AQU Catalunya’s Institutional and Programme Review Commission (CAIP) assesses institutions and degrees through specific assessment commissions (CEAs) for different fields of knowledge or subject areas. Universities interested in submitting a validation application should refer to the Official university degree validation and modification procedure, approved by the CAIP.
Before universities can begin the validation process for a degree, they must have the approval of the department responsible for universities, taking into account the proposed university curriculum for Catalonia, which is agreed upon within the framework of the Inter-University Council of Catalonia (CIC). AQU Catalunya will only carry out the validation process for degrees that are part of the Catalan university curriculum.
