Frequent asked question Processing of the application
When can an application be submitted?
Research and advanced research applications can be submitted at any time, as the call is open throughout the year.
For research merit assessment and research merit recognition applications, there are specific deadlines for each call, which can be found in the "Application submission" section.
When should I send the application?
Each procedure has its own deadline, available at the section "Applications".
How do I send the documentation?
Upload all documentation via My folder (Tràmits Gencat).
What is digital ID?
In order to deal online with the Catalan Government authorities and for them to verify a user's identity, you will be asked to identify yourself, one way being with a digital signature. This can be done using any system where you are registered with a certificate authority that can verify your identity.
To access My folder, all mechanisms are valid. For more information on Digital ID, click on this link.
How many files can I upload and send in the documentation section of my application?
Only one file can be uploaded to each documentation section and sent to Tràmits Gencat. If you have more than one certificate for a certain type of document, combine them into one file.
I've sent all the documents and have received a notification saying "Currently this procedure has still pending requirements". What should I do?
If any section in the documentation is left empty, the message "Currently this procedure has still pending requirements" will appear. Bearing in mind that it is not compulsory to send all the documents (e.g. "form" or "PhD certificate" are not always compulsory documents), you may ignore this notification if you have attached the required documentation.
When will the results be released?
Applicants shall be notified of the assessment result within six months at the latest:
- from the submission of the application, in the case of research and advanced research applications
- from the opening of the call for applications for research merit and for research merit recognitions assessments
Can I appeal the committee's decision?
Yes. The review panel's decision does not bring the application process to a close. An applicant can therefore make a formal appeal to AQU Catalunya's Appeals Committee.
