ShareAQU Catalunya meets with Vice-Rectors for Quality of Catalan Universities
The Director of the Agency, Mercè Gisbert Cervera, presented them with her report on the Agency’s most immediate projects, including the implementation of the QUALINS Framework and the update of the teaching evaluation methodology.
Today, the Vice-Rectors for Quality of Catalan universities met with the Director of AQU Catalunya, Mercè Gisbert Cervera, to be updated on the Agency’s activities regarding issues that most directly affect them. During the session, after approving the minutes of the previous meeting, the Director presented her Report, beginning with a general assessment of the Agency’s evaluation activities and then focusing on the implementation of the QUALINS Framework, the status of the update to the teaching evaluation methodology, the references in Medicine and Education, and the document Focus 4: Double Degrees. The report also included information on university teaching staff related to their evaluation, adapted to the LOSU.
The Director presented to the Vice-Rectors the renewal of the EUC Estudis portal, which now includes EUC Dades and EUC Informes. The discussion also covered studies on Employers, Student Satisfaction, and Graduate Employment, the preparation of the external evaluation by ENQA, and the preparation of a SWOT analysis prior to drafting the 2027–2030 strategic plan. Finally, after presenting the project analyzing the impact of institutional accreditation carried out to date, Gisbert informed attendees about the public consultation on the revision of the ESG, as well as the upcoming events that AQU Catalunya plans to organize throughout 2026.
After the Director’s Report, the meeting continued with a discussion on the approval of Royal Decree 905/2025. Next, the agreement of the Institutional and Programme Review Commission on the evaluation criteria related to the recognition of credits from higher vocational training (CFGS) and professional experience, as well as the evaluation of bachelor’s and master’s final projects (TFG/TFM), was presented. To conclude the meeting, the procedure for handling complaints applied by AQU Catalunya was presented to the attendees. This meeting of Vice-Rectors with the Agency was the third of 2025.
