The Agency briefs the quality technicians of Catalan universities on the activities currently underway and those that will begin soon.

AQU Catalunya summoned the representatives of the Technical Quality Units (TQUs) of the Catalan public and private universities. This meeting, which took place in person at the Agency's headquarters, began with the presentation to the attendees of the Director's Report, in which the Director of AQU Catalunya, Jaume Valls Pasola, regularly updates the university QAs on the activities that are being carried out.
Firstly, the director showed the status of the current assessment calls. In addition, he also presented the next benchmarks that the Agency plans to develop, which are those of Medicine and Education, as well as the surveys that are currently being prepared, which are the Employers' Survey and the Employment Outcome Survey for 2026. The Director's Report also focused on the status of the update of the teaching assessment methodology that AQU Catalunya is putting together and on the conferences that the Agency will hold soon. He went into detail about the Student training to guarantee university quality, which will take place on 23 November. Finally, Valls also explained the results of the public enquiry that AQU Catalunya carried out between 23 September and 7 October regarding the proposal for new criteria for the accreditation of teaching staff.
Apart from the Director's Report, Valls also presented the work in progress for the preparation of the new framework that will replace the current framework for the validation, monitoring and accreditation of teaching staff. Finally, the director of the Agency announced the guide for the European approach to the accreditation of international joint degrees, which will simplify the documentation that is currently needed and which includes relevant aspects of the ImpEA project.
