ShareAQU Catalunya unveils the 2024-2027 Equality Plan
The document was approved by the AQU Catalunya's Equality Plan Negotiating Committee on 13 December 2023 and was ratified by the director of the Agency and the Committee on 22 December 2023.

The AQU Catalunya Equality Plan 2024-2027 is the first plan of this nature that has been prepared by the Agency for the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU Catalunya). In addition to complying with the requirements of Royal Decree-Law 6/2019, of 1 March, on urgent measures to guarantee equal treatment and opportunities for men and women in employment and work, Law 9/2022, of 21 December, on science, and Organic Law 2/2023, of 22 March, on the higher education system, the plan seeks to respond to the Agency's staff's concerns regarding equality and gender perspective.
The document aims to foster actions during its period of validity that promote effective equality between men and women and non-discrimination of LGBTI+ individuals, taking into account AQU Catalunya's diagnosis of the situation. A Negotiating Committee has been set up to implement the Equality Plan, which is made up of staff and executive board representatives from AQU Catalunya and an expert in equality issues within the Agency's staff.
The Negotiating Committee has validated the diagnosis of the situation that has been drawn up following the Practical guide for the diagnosis of equality of women and men in companies and organizations (2021 edition) by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
Based on the validation of the diagnosis, a working group has been set up made up of staff from all areas of the Agency, from all job categories and equal in terms of gender. The starting point was the AQU Catalunya diagnosis of the situation and the Gender Equality Plan of the Generalitat de Catalunya for the period 2023-2027, the working group proposed objectives, actions, indicators and a timetable for their roll-out on the basis of a series of areas of actions.
Finally, the actions have been taken to the Negotiating Committee for negotiation and approval. On 13 December 2023, the Negotiating Committee approved the AQU Catalunya Equality Plan 2024-2027. The plan is structured in seven strategic priorities, which at the same time are broken down into eleven goals and twenty-two actions.
