Appeals Commission resolves 47 appeals for teacher status and one appeal for degree accreditation
The AQU Catalunya Appeals Committee has resolved 47 appeals filed against the agreements of the Research Assessment Commission (CAR) and an appeal against the qualification of the accreditation result of a doctoral degree agreement issued by the Institutional and Programme Review Commission (CAIP).

The AQU Catalunya Appeals Commission has resolved the appeals lodged by applicants for research merit assessment and by applicants for accreditation of research and accreditation of advanced research . In total, the Commission has resolved 47 appeals that have already been notified:
- Six against research merit assessment: first call for applications for research assessment for non-civil servant teaching and research staff (PDI), research assessment for civil servant teaching and research staff (PDI) and first call for applications for Ramón y Cajal and Beatriz Galindo research staff, all from 2022.
- 23 against research accreditation: first call for associate professors and first call for associate professors in the Serra Húnter Programme, both from 2022.
- 18 against advanced research: first call 2022 for full professors.
Of the total appeals presented, the Appeals Commission has partially upheld one and upheld five.
In addition, the Commission has resolved the appeal filed against the qualification of the accreditation result of a doctoral degree. The result of the assessment has been rejected.
The Appeals Commission is in charge of resolving appeals filed against the Research Assessment Commission agreements and the other assessment, certification and accreditation commissions referred to in Article 11 of Law 15/2015, of 21 July 2015, on the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU Catalunya). Its resolutions exhaust the administrative route. It is also responsible for issuing review reports on other decisions issued by the commissions when this is established in the assessment, certification and accreditation processes.
